What a busy day yesterday was!

We started with a great performance from Hutt Intermediate.

Followed by the awesome talent quest.

Some great communication with others around the country on kidsed chat.

Then we finally saw our lovely tie dye finished in the wall hanging that arrived back from New Plymouth.  Thanks Mrs Prichard ( Mrs Campbell's mum)

Using Skooville

We have been working on our digital citizenship with Room 1.  Skooville is a great place to learn.  What have you learnt?

Wow, Natural dyes are fascinating

What do you learn today when Jess came to do some natural dyeing with us?

It was amazing!  Can't wait till we see what they look like.

Rich Questions

Critical Thinking- What's that?

Critical thinking is defined as reasonable, reflective, responsible, and skillful thinking that is focused on deciding what to believe or do.

So what does that mean.

Find what each of the underlined words means and create a situation to explain each one.

 1. definition- use google to help you, but be warned you have to make sense of what it says otherwise it doesn't help at all.
2.  Put the word into a sentence to make it come to life

"Ok mum, 8pm is a reasonable bedtime because it gives me enough time to have a good night sleep"

3.  Use doodle buddy to create an image to show !

Buddies completed and ready to head into our community

'It  takes a community to look after a child.'

Children can’t prevent child abuse – but adults can.
And what better way to start conversations about the wellbeing of kids, than to send thousands of life size cardboard 'children' into the community for a day with business people, politicians, Iwi and members of the public!
